About the role: We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions within the Workplace engineering team. You will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should have solid software engineering experience in building commercial-grade web-based applications and scalable cloud-centric APIs (Applications and programming interfaces). A successful candidate will be able to play an active role in managing the prioritization of work to meet project goals.

The position is based in our Toronto office or Chicago office.

Job responsibilities:

  • Work with development teams and product managers to build software
  • Design & develop client-side and server-side architecture
  • Build the front-end of applications using JavaScript technologies (VueJS, NodeJS)
  • Write scalable APIs using .NET based technologies (C#)
  • Develop software with the focus on security, availability, and scalability
  • Write technical documentation

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a full-stack developer or similar role
  • 1-3 years’ experience in any JavaScript frameworks (such as Angular, VueJS, node.js, React) and libraries (HTML5 / CSS3)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in back-end languages (C#)
  • Familiarity with any databases technologies – Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL
  • Experience in AWS (Amazon Web Services) based environment building serverless applications is a plus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience within the financial services industry is desirable
